Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My mom is here and she and the girls LOVE to read these crazy, fun RHYMING storybooks together! Everyone is a big ol' pool of laughter after these books and they are wanting more.

This is what I have, and I'm looking for more of these:

**Seven Silly Eaters
**The Prince Won't Go to Bed
**Bats at the Beach
**A House is a House for Me
**The Gruffalo
**An Alphabet of Catholic Saints

What else??? There are a million and I just can't think of them right now.

Your favorite books with RHYTHM, RHYMES, and a GOOD STORY!!!!

Oh, that is a shame!
There is something about saying "Hairy McLary of Donaldson's Dairy" over and over that just makes you smile.

I always hate it when the library lets me down. Maybe you could ILL these?

One we have enjoyed over the years is Piggy in the Puddle, written by Charlotte Pomerantz, illustrated by James Marshall. I have to warn you, though, the piggy is a disobedient little piggy who likes to say "NOPE" at her family's requested to get out of the muddy puddle, until she decides it really is "ooshy-squooshy" dirty mud and "what we need is lots of soap!" But mom, dad, and brother are having so much fun in the puddle that this time THEY answer, "Nope!" Totally silly fun!

Oh, Chicken Soup with Rice is a fave from my childhood. I recently got it out to read to my girls and it took me back to my days of walking to the library when I was a little girl. What a neat book!

Dr. Duck

Pure, silly rhyming fun

Dr. Duck treats all the animals for their ailments. We liked the moose with loose antlers.

Also, The Prince Won't Go To Bed!

Just want to thank you for this thread! I tried checking out quite a few of these books, so we had them for our big snow. We're enjoying Bill Peet, and especially The Prince Who Won't Go to Bed.

All these titles have been so fun for both my 6 yo and 2 yo.

Thanks again!
