Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi, we would like to read more about Mother Teresa and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for books, particularly for 14-yo, but I'd love to hear about books for younger ages as well.

Thanks and God bless,

This Mother Teresa book by Demi is beautiful. It is a picture book and is written for a younger audience than 14 year olds but think someone of any age would benefit in reading it as a starting point. There is a lot of information packed into it. It's very heavy on text for a picture book and is on the higher elementary end for reading level. The back cover says it is "blessed Pope John Paul II himself"   - not sure what that means, if he actaully had read it and gave it his blessing? The pictures are absolutely gorgeous with gold gilting illuminating various elements of each picture.

Hi Stef,

My dd enjoys all the Encounter the Saints series by the Daughters of St. Paul...They have a great book on Mother Teresa. I enjoyed it, too...This series is very well done; I always learn a new fact or interesting piece of information about some of my favorite saints, and these books are great for starting discussions on the lives of the saints with your children!
