Anyone know where to buy those cute chapel veils that tie under the chin? My dd, 7 and 5, can't keep the usual ones on, even with bobby pins.
Thanks,
Stephanie

Might a small chapel cap like these be more easily fastened. It might be small enough not to slip and slide. I saw the above linked ones ages ago and thought to get them for my girls, but I thought I remember them having ribbon ties, perhaps I saw those elsewhere but I can't remember where.
I have bought veils from here http://www.sacramentals.org/ChapelVeils.htm and they are really nice. I get dd (9yrs) to tie it underneath her chin to stop it slipping.

I tried making a kerchief veil but found that they slipped off of 2yod's head too easily. So I attached a small veil (actually, just a piece of lace from the fabric store that I nicely hemmed) to a white headband and it stays on her head perfectly now.

Thanks, Sharyn. That's just what I was looking for. And thankyou Celeste for the headband idea.
God Bless,

Just thought I'd offer a suggestion! I hand-stitch a small barrette or hair comb to the front of the veils for my daughters and I find it keeps the veils in place without having to worry about the pesky ribbons (they truly didn't like those tied-on veils). When they were toddlers, round chapel cap veils were the perfect size and they didn't even realise that they were on their heads!
God bless!

My own is sewn to a head band to keep it in place :)

What a great idea I bought some haircombs today and will sew them to my girl's veils tonight. And this is what they use for the first Holy Communion veils; I wonder why I never thought of this before.
Thanks Veronika!

I buy from this store on ebay: Catholic Traditions
and I have been very pleased.
Lots of colors, and easy care too. I just throw mine in the washer!
I want to find the doily on a headband one for my youngest daughter.

I also like the chapel veils from Catholic Traditions. I find that they stay on my head better than any others that I have bought. I think that the lace is less slippery or something.
