Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What would you do?
I have Moira Farrell's Home Catechesis manuals 3-5 and 6-9. I have never used these with my guys, but I want to start 1-2 lessons per week. Should I do seperate lessons? One with the littles and one with the bigger kids. Or would you combine them? And then which one do I use? Don't know why I can not quite figure this out on my own

I am doing 3-6 with both my dc, 9 and 4. I think they both will get a lot out of it. I have never done anything like it before and even I am learning.

I'm also going to do 3-5 with my dc this year. If you've never done this before, I think it would be difficult to gather the materials for both manuals. It's not easy to gather materials for just one manual in a year. I am using 3-5 because it will be better for my dd 5. I'm sure it will interest the older dc also, because like Anne said, even I am learning from this.

You could do the presentations separately or all together. I think all together would be the ideal, but I'm considering doing presentations with my ds 6 separately if he doesn't calm down. He gets really silly and distracts the others sometimes. You may have to try it out awhile before you decide.

Thanks Girls!
I guess I will try the 3-5 with all of them at the same time. My concern is with my little ones. My 4 year old little guy likes to be the center of attention, which then leads my 2yr old astray.
Like you said Cheryl, I guess I will try it and see how it goes. I guess I could always do a seperate lesson with the little ones. If I can find time to squeeze it in

Moira recommends using the 3-5 manual first before moving onto 6-9 as the one builds on the other. Next year, the older children would be ready for the 6-9 manual (and maybe parts of this year as you see fit), and your younger ones could repeat the 3-5 manual. Just an idea :)
