Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're working on our first lapbook to include the many things we learned in The Little Creatures' Crusade by Susan Brindle and Miriam Lademan. We started by folding the file folders just so. We pasted a picture of the cover and cut it so that it opens where the file folder does. Then we pasted a tree with the Fruits of the Holy Spirit labeled on it. Under the tree are the gifts of the holy spirit (sort of like a Christmas apple tree, if you can picture that). That's all on one skinny side. I hope to come up with some ideas, but I've run out of steam. Can anyone help? What about all these cool minibooks I hear about? Is there anything in that book that could work?

I am actually *glad* that no one responded to my plea. I had to force *myself* to think. I've become far too reliant on this board to answer all of my questions for me. Besides The Little Creatures Crusade, we found much in the St. Joseph's Baltimore Catechism and King of the Golden City to add to our project. Here's what(besides what I've listed above) we are adding to our lapbooks:

Illustrate the armory.

Research and write mini-books on Joan of Arc and St. Ignatius (soldiers of Christ).

Research and write a list of what happens during the sacrament of Confirmation. (IOG 5th grade)

Write in your BEST penmanship Psalm 45.

Write how you can be a soldier of Christ.

Good for you. I didn't see the post but you did a great job. We use some different mini books and such with our lapbooks.

Have you seen this book?

Big Book of Books and Activities
