Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ah, good question -- I should look at these two lapbook offerings from a different perspective! If you only have part of one morning to spend on St. Patrick's Day, you might actually enjoy the Fold-and-Learn from FIAR. If, however, you have more time and interest in studying this amazing Saint, you might want to do the one from Hands of a Child. How's that?

You can print as many copies of the lapbook materials as you need. You don't have to buy a download for each child. For the Hands of a Child material, I spent an hour printing out each item on different sheets of colored paper so that we would end up with a nice looking product at the end. Lots of greens!

I think we will spend a week making the lapbooks (an hour to one and one-half hours each day maybe?), including exploring recommended websites and watching our dvd.

You can certainly save a copy of the PDF file once it is downloaded and use it as many times as you like in future.

Oh, my. . .did you know that these people, Hands of a Child, have 151 lapbook products for sale at homeschoolestore! This is amazing. . .I feel a new curriculum addiction coming on!

I'm seeing several available on topics that I know are coming up for us in the next few months. This is great, because I'm not very creative with lapbooks and notebooking. Last year I had wanted to do a St. Patrick lapbook, and had printed out a few cool things. But then I was stumped at what was most important, how to organize it all into graphic organizers, etc. I wasted some time on it and then gave up. I think that's why I'm so excited to find this stuff available. . .there's hope for me after all! LOL

If you visit their site directly you can download samples of nearly all of those titles too. Worth the time!

I just posted photos of my youngest son, Quinn's, Irish/St. Patrick lapbook this past weekend on my blog. I created a number of graphics for it. You can find them at:

http://dani3d.com/lapbook/

They are very large (zipped) PSD files...some can be edited to personalize. This is preK stuff. To view them first you can go to:

Dani, your lapbooks are very inspirational! They are so wonderfully done! Just having started to lapbook/notebook, I borrowed some of your ideas. Thanks so much for sharing this information with us. I certainly appreciate it.
