Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're using Chemistry Pre-Level 1 and level 1 at the same time. I own all three Level 1 books, but we started with Chemistry.

The kids love it. The PreLevel 1 is just perfect for my 6yo DD. She leaves when we get to the Level 1 book. It flies over her head. But my 9yo son enjoys both books. The first one is just too cute, and the second one is packed full of information he appreciates.

Then I get both kids together again to do the experiments. I didn't get the experiments for the PreLevel 1. Both kids do the level 1 manipulations. Once again, I let my daughter leave when she's reached her limit.

They LOVE chemistry.

I also appreciate that there's nothing about evolution/creation in there, but there's a place to "insert" God if your heart desires. My son is a real Thomas, so I point out places in the book where it talks about 'atoms beind designed'. I ask him who did the designing anyway? How come molecules follow rules, and are not random? I try to make him think.

Oh, and it's up to you to decide where you stand, but if you order from the link listed in the first post, your money goes to a group that promotes Creationism.
If you buy from here:
http://www.gravitaspublications.com/
you buy directly from the publisher. No money will be put towards Creationism, and your name will not be put on a Creationism mailing list.

Follow your feelings.

I used all three (chemistry, biology and physics) with a 7 yo, 8 yo, 10yo and 12yo. The chemistry and biology were great. I wasn't impressed with the physics, quite a few of the experiments were poorly designed and didn't work. I have some other books (I can't remember the titles off hand) that explained how to do physics experiments so we turned to those when confused. I have the first edition so they may have corrected the errors.

The chemistry unit can be done with materials you can get from the grocery store. The experiments were pretty basic such as making solutions of different concentrations, making a pH indicator and titrating. There was also a chapter where you made polymers (slime) which of course was a favorite.

The biology unit will cost a bit more and require an order from a biological supply company. They have the students looking at protazoa with a microscope in the second or third chapter. We borrowed a very good microscope, and the kids loved it. However with a poor microscope this would not have been as much fun. The biology unit also has you raising butterflies and tadpoles (we ended up with a pet frog) and making an ecosystem.

The physics unit has the kids building batteries, turbines and working with magnets.

I thought the program explained the science well but did not make it too complicated. My 5 yo participated in the experiments but did not understand the concepts, the older two kids understood it very well and have kept that knowledge, the younger two I'd say understood about 50% of it. We did add relevant books to fill out the program and add a little CM touch.

The authors beliefs as to evolution and creationism are never apparent in the text or the teachers manual. Though I've heard she supports a creationist worldview

Hope that's helpful
