Got mine today. The FedEx guy handed it to my 10 yo, no signature required. Sheesh. I guess it's up to the parents to make sure the kids are not drinking it . This appeals to the libertarian in me.

Mine should be here tomorrow.    The Denver 4Real ladies are planning a group tasting. Maybe they won't mind if I open mine early and I can drink theirs . Dh is grilling his birthday Omaha steaks on Sat. night....yummy.

Just got the okay and ordered mine today. I actually had set it all up and waited until my husband had called me back so that I could get the okay to buy it. While I was waiting for my husband to call me back, Bill emailed me to make sure I didn't need any help. What good customer service! Can't wait to get the wine.

I'm in! Just ordered. Let's hope I don't react to it, LOL... I think I may have developed a sulfites allergy. We'll be doing a allergy challenge with this wine testing adventure...

Those of you with sensitivities to sulfites might try locating some organic wines, which do not contain sulfites. I like Orleans Hill Lodi Syrah a lot.

Mine came yesterday. I had to laugh - FedEx delivered it to our lower door (when our front door was wide open), just left it there (in 20 degree weather mind you). Thankfully one of our co-op kids noticed the truck pulling away and alerted me to the delivery.

FedEx delivered ours either Wednesday or Thursday, but we didn't see it 'til Thursday afternoon, as they just left it on the porch and we've been fluctuating from 3- to 18-degrees here this week. I hope it isn't ruined. We opened our first bottle yesterday, but I can't tell. Tastes like wine to me!    I'll save the detailed comments (actually we have none) until some of you have tasted yours.

Mine didn't make it either Michelle. I checked my FedEx tracking # and it won't make it until the 20th. What's up with that? They've had it since the 15th and it isn't even in the air yet

I'm 3 hours into Jancis Robinson's Wine Course and I'm really enjoying it!

Mine is scheduled to be delivered on the 19th....says Fed-Ex tried to deliver yesterday, but no one was available ...not sure why, we were here all day. Wonder why they didn't just leave it on the porch. I wish they had .

I think mine should be delivered early next week. It is on the way here from Ft. Worth. I ordered it on the 12th. They must be swampled with orders from all of us!

I should clarify that FedEx has the order, not BOGO. BOGO was as fast as lightning!

For European wine tasters, maybe you can find Lacryma Christi wine from Mt. Vesuvius in Italy? The name translates to "Tears of Christ" and the grapes are so ancient that they were grown when Pompeii was buried in ash and pyroclastic flow in AD 79.

I couldn't find it locally ... only mail order which is usually a six bottle minimum ... and couldn't find the other two either .

I searched our supermarket website and found a reasonably priced Spanish wine called Monasterio de Santa Ana, which fits the Catholic theme nicely. I'm ordering a bottle for dh and I to taste. That way I still get to play

It arrived!!!

Thankfully they just left it on the porch because I'm still in my PJ's.

Kathryn--So glad you get to play!

5 days after ordering, wine arrived! My FedEx guy just dropped it at the door as well. Good thing the delinquent next door is in jail (looong story!) or it might have gone missing on me!

So, will everyone be ready when the forum reopens? I'll open a new thread, and we can post as we taste!

Those looking for the Aquinas Napa Valley 2005 Chardonnay outside California, try Pops (sounds like a moonshine operation, doesn't it? ). It's a bit more expensive, but I think they ship nation-wide.
