Does anyone have suggestions for a natural remedy for poison ivy?
Thank you!

I found calendula cream gave some relief.. and there's some special soaps just for use on it.
I also found that the hottest water I could stand on it for as long as I could.. it would hurt/itch something fierce but then afterward would give me several hours of relief. (I just had poison oak on my forearms so this was easy)

Oh I forgot about that Chari.. I just learned of it recently.. it is also used for chicken pox.. my kids had a light exposure right before baby was due and I called my midwife to see what to use to help prevent it.. and she told me that (she's also an herbalist) (we didn't get it)

Burt's bees poison ivy soap. Also, if you have any wild jewelweed you can get, that is suppose to be good.

Oatmeal baths. Aveeno makes a good product.

Jewel weed, which often grows right next to PI, is a great balm for the itchies. Check it out here.
[edit] I see Lisa beat me to that one!

Thank you all so much. We have all had a bit of it, but one dd continues with it spreading. I tried 3 stores on Friday to get Burt's Bees soap but to no avail. We will try these other suggestions!
Love,
Margaret
