Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A message from Ida's husband:

Hello All,
I wanted to pass along a prayer that Ida and Bob had
given me. It is to Fr. Solanus Casey, whom Fr. Ziegler has mentioned in the back of the bulletin.

Prayer:

Father, I adore You, I give myself to You. May I be the
person You want me to be and may Your will be done in my
life today.
Thank You for the gifts You gave to Father Solanus. If it is Your will, glorify him on earth so that others will carry on his love for the poor, lonely, and suffering of our world.
In order that others will joyfully accept Your divine plan, I ask You to hear this prayer... through Jesus Christ. Our Lord Amen.

Our intention would be for a miracle and if a miracle
happens to Ida through Fr. Solanus' intercession it would be a step closer for his canonization. I can't remember if he is Venerable yet. Ida also asked for us to pray to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.
Thank you!!!!!

If anyone is interested, here is a link to Father Solanus Casey's site. There is a place to send intentions. (I sent in an intention for Amy, and will now send one for Ida.)
I am praying!

God Bless,

Here is the latest on Ida. Thanks for all of your prayers. She has miracuously lived about 8 weeks longer than expected. She was sent home with Hospice on Novemeber 1st with a week left to live, but God has other plans for her. God bless you.

Hi, all,

Sorry not to have written for awhile-we've been having computer problems.

Talked to Bob after Mass this morning and he said that Ida has gotten considerably worse the last couple of days. She has some internal bleeding again, and Saturday wasn’t able to get up at all or barely swallow and slept most of the day. When I went over to see her this afternoon she was doing a little better-they had managed to get her up into a chair and she was awake about 5-10 minutes and able to talk some. She has a lot of mucus in her throat, making her cough and hard for her to swallow.

Please continue the prayers. A happy holy New Year to all.

Ruth, I will be praying for Ida in a very special way tonight and tomorrow, and for Bob as well.

Ruth,

I'm so sorry... Sometimes that journey Home takes a bumpy road. I pray that she finds comfort and peace at the end.
