Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This year (2006) the Church will celebrate the 450th anniversary of the death of St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556), the founder of the Society of Jesus, popularly known as the Jesuits.

Catholic Culture has put up a nice special presentation on St. Ignatius.

We love St. Ignatius as is evidenced by the name of our 6th son Ignatius Paul - Nate for short. At bed every night for the past week we have been reading a chapter each night from "Saint Igantius of Loyola : For the Greater Glory of God" By Donna Giaimo, FSP and Patricia Edward Jablonski, FSP. My son Ignatius just loves it and feels like it is a special story just for him. He even sleeps with the book at night.
Have a great day!
