Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Maria, I haven't read any books per se, but if you google William Wallace there's a ton online!! When we did Scotland last year I read quite a bit about him, very intriguing!! HTH.

Oh...what's the name of that Henty book on Wm. Wallace...Is it "In Freedom's Cause" or something like that? We have the taped version and were just talking about it today and how good it was. I *think* the book "The Scottish Chiefs" may have to do with William Wallace, too, though it's heavier going. My dd (who reads everything-just finished "Les Miserables" and the uncut "Monte Cristo"!) couldn't get thru that one, but maybe some others out there on the board have had a better experience with it?

Dd12 has just read In Freedom's cause and loved it. It may be too heavy going for some 12 year old's though.
