I am once again in the process of migrating my websites, this time from their current host (HostGator) to MS Azure, and the 4real forums will go offline at some point in the next week or so.

I do not yet know what my long-term plan for the forums will be. I am hesitant to continue using the same "classic ASP" codebase because it is now about 20 years old and likely contains a number of vulnerabilities. However, it would be a shame not to make the content available in some form following the move. I will definitely be hanging onto the database and hopefully putting a read-only front end on it that will allow searching.

Regardless of what becomes of it, the address will remain the same -- 4real.thenetsmith.com -- tho it may be down or have a simple placeholder webpage for a little while.

Update:

Due to some complications encountered with the move and the lack of sufficient spare time to work through them, I have decided NOT to make the move to Azure yet.

Probably going to renew with HostGator for another 6 months and see if I can find the time between now and then to have another go at this.
