Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Where is the best place to find/buy a black suit for First Communion at a reasonable price? Any suggestions?

I'd check JC Penney.. that's where I got a suit for a son's confirmation but I don't recall the exact cost but it wasn't horrible and looked good.

We got a really nice one on eBay Like like this one. I was kinda leary of the quality, but it turned out very nice, and both our boys have worn it, and looked very spiffy for their First Communion. There are lots of colors of suits and ties, just search boys suit on eBay, if this one isn't what you're looking for. Hth!

I bought my first one's suit off of ebay (actually just a jacket, and he wore khakis), but then, with 5 boys, people tend to pass along those types of things to us, so we never really had to buy another. Still, though, now that we own several suits, some of the same size, it is kind of amazing how differently the suits are cut and fit even if the same size. If you find an amazing deal and your son is easy to fit, I think ebay is awesome, but I think at this point, given our experience with jackets and such not fitting well, I would be more leary than I was with my first! It is still the nicest jacket we have, lol, but I feel lucky that it fit my oldest so well!

I bought a white dinner jacket for my oldest.. he was surrounded by sisters and the whole pretty dress for the girls thing so he wanted something more than just a suit.. the white jacket suited what he wanted (looks awesome with black pants) I got that off ebay. But lately I haven't used ebay much.. risk vs reward.. still a lot of risk but not near the savings you used to get. When most things I'd get there by the time you added in shipping costs were 75%+ of new (with sales and coupons and such) I lost interest in using it much.

I remember those days. Such fun. I second Kohls. If you can find a Burlington Coat Factory, you might also have some luck there. We seemed to always luck out at Kohls. Ds played piano for masses since about 11 so he always needed one 😊 It was such a pain to have to buy dress shoes and suits every six months ☺️
