Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I thought this article from the Washington Post was interesting:

My parents are not collectors, but my dad likes to buy new stuff periodically (furniture, bird baths, even dishes), and then they want to give us whatever they are replacing. Sometimes they are offended when we don't want their old sofa, bath rugs, etc

Of course, I just took my parent's sofa. (My mom replaces well before things get worn out.) The article failed to mention that one income families might take furniture hand me downs if it's in better shape than their own.

Right now I'm struggling with pictures. I have so many scrapbooks! I'm tired of them (the space they use up to store) and I have a feeling my boys aren't going to want to have to store them too. I still enjoy scrapbooking, but it's the clutter of books! I'm honestly thinking of just going digital with the scrapbooks. Those books come back from the printer so much thinner.

Shutterfly runs good deals from time to time for digital scrapbooks- so do places like JoAnn's.

I agree that pictures and scrapbooks are a tough area!
