Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

No worries, Mary...we're just going with the "comment and you're in" approach to the giveaways. I have one more poll to put up this week...let's hope I have better luck with that one!

I just voted... and then I snooped around in different settings and found that we shouldn't even be able to create a poll in this forum, much less vote in one!      SO, I changed it and now everyone should be able to vote!       Sorry that took so long and I will check the other forums and fix all the broken ones!!

I voted Eucharistic Adoration, though I'm seldom able to make it these days. Yesterday I had to be content with singing prayers along with very antsy grandchildren in the adoration chapel parking lot!

I just ran across this awesome Worldwide Eucharistic Adoration Novena for October synod on the Family
First Thursdays until the Synod are being dedicated to prayer and adoration. (I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to post this sooner ~ I always tell myself since God is timeless, perhaps our prayers can be applied retroactively!)

I realized that though I voted, I didn't say for what in my post. I love a variety of forms of prayer, but my favorite is contemplative. I find that when I am faithful to that quiet time of reading and reflecting, I'm a better, nicer person!

I voted for contemplative prayer. I would like to put Eucharistic Adoration too. And some of the others!!! I find it hard to calm my mind and stop distractions, but I just love quiet and peace sitting with our Lord.
