Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I saw that her feast day is coming up soon! This is a favorite saint of my family since we used to go to a church named after her. We also visited the castle where she grew up in Bratislava, Slovakia. I have a short story about her in my Saints for Girls book from Neumann Press. I was also thinking of making goulash for dinner (I can share the recipe if you want it). Does anyone have any more ideas on how to celebrate her feast day? Thanks and God bless!

Would love to see your goulash recipe.

Lots of ideas in this old thread - St. Elizabeth of Hungary.

I also saw in the Liturgical Planning Thread for November to make and deliver bread to friends (or a shelter or food bank).

Recipe, please!!! I have some recipes but they are, well, not very authentic.

Bringing food and blankets to those in need would definitely honor St. Elizabeth's ongoing desire to help the poorest of the poor. So would doing a kind deed at a hospital.
