Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This follow-up came regarding the young woman we've been praying for ~ I hope it is okay to post it here (moderators please remove if it conflicts with board policy):

With a heavy heart I am informing you that I learned today that the young 18yo mother we have been praying for aborted her nearly 23 week old daughter last week. I was concerned when she stopped contact and some doctors were suggesting abortion was a "safer" choice than childbirth. We have just entered the joy filled Easter Season. As Blessed John Paul II once said, "We Are The Easter People and Hallelujah Is Our Song". I do not doubt for a moment that God will bring good through this tragedy. Although we grieve each loss of life, and the difficult road facing these mothers, we remain filled with hope and determined to end this injustice. We remain present to assist women in unplanned pregnancies and to assist post-abortive women grieving the choice they made and lead them to the Risen Christ who loves them so very, very much. I urge you to pray more often for an end to abortion.

I am so sad to hear this. I have really been sending up prayers for this woman and the baby. I hope that she will find the healing that she needs and come back into the arms of her loving Saviour.

Thank you for updating the prayer request for this young woman and her baby, Servant. I'm so sad and my prayers continue.

I did move the Right to Life information and opportunities beyond prayer to our Tea and Conversation forum as a bulletin, explained in Our Boundaries.

Praying fervently with Easter Joy for all involved as we pray and work together knowing "Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception." Catechism 2270

Love,

That is incredibly sad. She doesn't know how this will completely change her future

I pray for her healing, that she may find a good source of support in the years to come when the full impact of what has just happened settles ins.
