Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

For any home educating families in Arizona, I highly recommend the Arizona Families for Home Education graduation ceremony! My dd graduated last night along with over 140 other students state-wide. Ladies, I haven't been this impressed with an event in a very long time. It was welcoming, organized, punctual, and so much more. All speakers were articulate, approachable, and ooooooooooh so inspiring. A graduate played classical guitar so beautifully, you could hear a pin drop in the packed auditorium. The graduates were showcased through a photo montage shown on a huge screen with music that showed two pictures of each, one as a child and one now. Bring on the tissues! Each graduate walked across the stage, their live actions broadcast on a huge screen, to receive a certificate to major applause, whoops, and shouts of joy - there was a friendly competition between families to see who could bring on the cheering best! Parents were acknowledged by standing for a round of applause and praise was given to God for all. Each prayer, each mention of our Lord was eloquent, heart-felt, and deeply respectful of all in attendence. And how about this...after the ceremony, the AZ Diamondback stadium put on a fireworks show...just for us .

My dh and I were rewarded in a way that I didn't think we wanted or needed...but I DID need it. My love tank, was filled to over-flowing and I woke up today with renewed energy to watch the rest of my children graduate from our home education studies, God willing!

Love,

Congratulations to Devin!!

We will be attending the Catholic Homeschoolers of PA graduation for John next month. They do a combined 8th grade and 12th grade one. John, with all his learning disabilities and seizures, has done a great job with 8th grade and we wanted to have his hard work recognized. I'll have to let you know how it went after June 27th.
