Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

But since I also seem to be very following-directions impaired, and my kids seem to be all over the place in terms of grade level, I'm not sure a completely ready made program would work at our house either.

I identify with you here. I was just thinking about this -- why I did all right with this program (K12 charter) while no others worked with me.   I think it is because it's not just following-directions, but actually laid out ready to use.

I thought I'd mention that, not to recommend k12 per se, but just that I realized I don't do well with things that are written down in a syllabus or teacher's manual-- I seem to have a hard time following written directions, too, even my own. But having it ready to go, like someone laid it out in workboxes for ME, worked Now if I could just reproduce that on my own somehow.

Hmmm, workboxes for MOM. Sounds like a great topic for the new planning forum!

It's true, isn't it? The workbox concept IS so appealing because everything is just THERE when you need it. And, that is part of planning/getting ready. Sigh.
