Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this...

I am planning for advent, and inspired by some of the posts last year I would like to make a candle for the Immaculate Conception Novena with a section carved out for a beeswax baby Jesus.

But I dont' know where to buy one?

Sylvia,
I think this is what you're looking for...

D. Blumchen and Company wax figures of the Infant Jesus. This is an amazing site for looking around!!!!

I've just spent a lot of time hunting down beeswax advent candles and coming across some lovely beeswax figures in the process.

Morning Song Gardens has a lovely set of the Holy Family with Baby Jesus in the creche.

Bittersweet House didn't have an Infant Jesus, but they do have some lovely Christmas ornaments that I thought were so beautiful. So many St. Nicholas'!!!

Thanks Jennifer that is exactly what I was looking for, and you are right, great website!

Molly, I am using Elizabeth's idea for the candle with the novena, here is her blog entry about it...

I never would have come up with the idea on my own! ;)

The link isn't working any longer, Jen. Do you think it's still on the site? I couldn't tell where it might be.

Blast! It used to be in the crafting supplies shop of D. Blumchen, but it appears they're gone now.

I did a quick search and can't find anything like this anywhere else...but I didn't have time for a comprehensive search. And, I also want to write D. Blumchen as well to see if they plan on offering the tiny Christ figure in beeswax again. He was beautifully molded and fit perfectly in the hollow we made in our Christ candle. Hopefully I can get to it later today!

I called D. Blumchen and Company. The customer service representative let me know that many people miss these little wax figures this year. They are out of stock and will not be restocked. They were ordered wholesale, but the problem resulted in shipping. Most of the little figures melted and globbed together resulting in the vast majority of their stock being unusable/unrecognizable and unable to be sold.

So...it would seem we'll need to find another source, or go back to the tiny plastic figures of the Divine Child to ensconce in our Christ candle.

This is just a thought but maybe you could make your own using a chocolate nativity mold? Melt some beeswax and pour it in.

If it is too hard to find a nativity mold this close to Christmas you could look at molds for baby showers.
