Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just picked it up at the library today. We're looking forward to it.

We read it the day before carving pumpkins. DS really enjoyed it - especially since he considers himself "short" related to his peers he could sympathize with the main character, Charlie. The message that you can't always tell what is inside something based on its size was well received.

When we carved our pumpkins we made sure to save out all the seeds, hoping to do the counts for comparison between pumpkins (we had three sizes, too), but they were left on the patio table and the squirrels got into them - therefore skewing any counting results. - so we decided to leave them out for them and they have been enjoying a pumpkin seed feast all week.

*@#&*&&**%#, squirrels!
