Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ladies I'm wanting to have a section for cookbooks on my blog and would like to find a saint who would be a good match for this area .
I've already got ST.Anne for homemaking , Hildegard for herbal , Isadore for farming . I've been seeing all these great cookbooks put out by monks and we have the trappists here with thier famous cheese so I am thinking there was a famous saint who was a monk and a cook by chance ? any ideas ?
God Bless , Roxie

San Pascual

- especially in New Mexico - his santo image is quite popular there.

St. Lawrence, maryter, can be found throughout Italy. He was a deacon for the early church. You can see the grill he was roasted on in the Basilica de San Lorenzo.
