Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used this method, as an alternative (suggested by Marcia Neill in her 'Catholic World History Timeline & Guide') to a wall one?

I'm wanting to get some feed back before I invest time in getting this started. We are limited on space and I really like this idea, but does it work well? Can you fit entries on there without too much clutter or does it seem very limited?

Any thoughts, suggestions, comments are appreciated. :)

I haven't tried the foam board, but in order to save space I used the back of our classroom door, which is more narrow but taller so I imagine the space works out to be about the same. It worked great until we needed to make entries that were only a couple of years apart. There's really no place to put them, except on top of one another (we have the same timeline and use the little 2 X 2 pictures). I'm thinking about moving ours to our hallway wall, making one line, straight across. Then, if there are people or events within the same couple of years we can work down or up, if that makes any sense.

Yes, that does make sense. I thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, I have no hallway wall space, but the door is a possibility. Someone else gave the idea of splitting time periods, which in turn, made me think of doing one presentation board for BC and another one for AD. I would think spacing wouldn't be an issue then (??).

It's fun planning this and I'm excited to get it started.

God bless,
Rebecca
