Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Any favorite picture books on Mary you can recommend?

It would be for my three year old daughter.

Some that have been mentioned in the past by members include:

Young Mary of Nazareth

Mary the Mother of Jesus

The Story of Mary, the Mother of God

Mary

Hopefully some one has other suggestions - especially good ones for the really young ones.

My kids have a favourite Colouring Book, given to one of my children from her Godmother titled:

MOTHER OF GOD Coloring Book
from the Holy Imitation series

They are Famous Images of Our Lady!

Written and Illustrated by Katherine Sotnik
Ignatius Press
ISBN # 1-58617-103-8
Published in 2005

There is a picture to color on one side and a story on the other side of the page. Extremely well written and drawn!

thanks for the suggestions! We don't have the dePaola one yet, so think I will get that.

And the coloring books sounds like a great idea for a May project. Theink my t5 and 3 year old will love working on the pictures and displaying them for the month of May
