I probably found this beautiful prayer to The Seven Sorrows and Seven Joys of St. Joseph through this wonderful forum, but thought I'd link it here again.

There are some great ideas, here! We are rowing FIAR style Song of the Swallows so we will finish up with that tomorrow. I need to find a nice simple prayer to end with and a simple meal, still. Not sure I'll pull that off with my in laws issues at the moment, but if nothing else, a prayer and the story will be more than we did last year for St. Joseph's Feast Day so its an improvement, right?

TIP -- When the kids carve their soap -- save the soap shavings to make your own laundry soap! :) You only need a cup or so of shavings... melt in 5 cups of hot water(don't boil and keep stirring) on the stove over med heat. Add this to a bucket of 3 gallons of HOT water. Then add 1/2 cup washing soda (not baking soda) dissolve. Then add 1 cup borax, dissolve. Let sit overnight. Becomes a bit of a gel. Scoop out 1/2 cup per load of laundry. :) Nice and frugal + clean clothes!!

I have posted an extract from a friend(Anna of Fountain Resources) on how her family in Italy celebrates this feast day on my blog.I hope it is alright to post about it hear. I love hearing about others liturgical traditions,it just makes the church seem more bigger and more wonderful somehow!:
