Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have lots of princess costumes around here. We are hoping to use them to dress as saints. Help me think of some saints who were royalty (or nobility). We do St Elizabeth of Hungary every year. I need at least one more.

Thanks!

There are two Elizabeths, Elizabeth of Portugal?

St. Olga?

Grandmother of St. Wenceslaus, too.

Saints Who were Empresses
Saint Richardis

I love this kind of question to do the research. I thought I remembered a conversation started by Erin looking for women saints that didn't become nuns, as her daughter wanted to be married with lots of children. I had recommended a book Treasury of Women Saints by Ronda Chervin but I can't find it, so maybe it was elsewhere. My search skills are going kaput.

St. Felicity was a Roman noblewoman, but not sure what kind of clothing design she wore!

I recently learned from reading Trianon that the Holy See considered Louis XVI to be a martyr for the faith.
