Well, Candace received such a great suggestion for her pumpkin copywork, that I thought I'd give it a whirl with apples. Any favorite one-liners or poetry to share?

How about Robert Frost's After Apple Picking Time - long, but a portion could be used.
Any fool can count the seeds in an apple. Only God can count all the apples in one seed. - Robert H. Schuller
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I think this is cute for a younger crowd:
Red Apple
A little red apple
Hung high in a tree
I looked up at it
And it looked down at me
"Come down, please" I called
And what do you suppose---
That little red apple
Dropped right on my nose!
And this one is short but nice:
Apples
by Helen H. Moore
Apples, apples, what a treat,
Sweet and tart and good to eat.
Apples green and apples red,
Hang from branches overhead,
And when they ripen,
Down they drop,
So we can taste our apple crop!

When we learned about apples we did 2 different ones:
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away." We talked about what this meant and eating healthy foods. :)We also talked a bit about food groups, etc.
A poem called Apple Song by Frances Frost. We only used the first verse.
The apples are seasoned
and ripe and sound.
Gently they fall
on the yellow ground.
The apples are stored
in the dusky bin
where hardly a glimmer
of light creeps in.
In the firelit, winter
nights, they'll be
the clear sweet taste
of a summer tree!
