Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm wanting to do a unit on squirrels with the kids next week.

I have several ideas and books so far...and am going to use the book list and printables from HSS.

HSS unit on squirrels

But, I thought I'd see if you creative mommas and nature loving mommas had any other ideas for me!

I am especially having a hard time finding some sort of neat craft. I don't want just a printable squirrel to cut out...though my girls will enjoy coloring squirrels! But I'm looking for a neat craft idea to do.

I'm a faithful reader of Dawn's blog and know they love to watch the squirrels, it seems like she has mentioned things to do about squirrels before but I couldn't find them linked anywhere on her blog.

Any other ideas? Oh, I think we will make the nut-ball mentioned in a book, sticking nuts together with peanut butter and hanging it on a tree.

You could try the gray squirrel project.

First harder idea that comes to mind is making a paper mache(?) squirrel.
