Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm searching for a saint to intercede for the conversion of my dh. He entered the church when our youngest was baptised , but has stagnated .

Would St. Monica be the best???

St Monica is a great patroness because while the conversion of her son is what makes her so well known, what is lesser known, is the conversion of her husband through her influence - there is a lovely TAN book on her life and these conversions that I would recommend.

Also St Rita is another patroness for husband's and their conversion, her story is powerful...the winter rose she requested on her deathbed as 'proof' that her husband was in heaven, still flowers today as many cuttings had been taken from it...I have some rosepetals..somewhere, I'm going to have a look for you Tricia and get back to you.

Tricia,
St. Paul leaps to mind. But sometimes a wife's prayers are enough. It worked for me but took a couple of years. My husband who was agnostic 10 years ago now teaches the Confirmation class at our parish. God bless you!

I too am praying for my husband. I found this prayer. It's to St. Monica. Scroll to the bottom.

Prayer for Conversion to St. Monica

St. Monica sprang to my mind as well. She must be trying to let you know she's available for intercession!
