~Copywork: new CHC book and stuff I print up from Startwrite
~Artistic Pursuits, Music App, Nature walks/study, French, FIAR, Read Alouds, Picture books.......all together with family.

Our first grade doesn't look much different from K, but here is what we are doing:
*FIAR and HSS literature based unit studies
*AO readings mixed in
*Bob Jones math 1
*Queen's copywork/picture study (from language lessons)
*Bible/devotions/scripture memory
*Lots of nature study
*Little bits of artist and composer study

Right now we're basically going to do CHC since it's our first year homeschooling, though I can tell I won't be using the MCP math again. We're adding in some Prima Latina and Story of the World, too.
My SIL does classical homeschooling, I think I'll grab DYOCC and check it out, she always has such interesting thoughts!

I still have CHC's 1st grade lesson plans I used with Chelsea. I might order the Speller and LOG for reinforcement but not sure. I do plan to pull from the lesson plans when and where I can. Might order Explode the Code because it worked so well with Chelsea.
Looking over this it looks so MUCH!  But really it isn't. There's a lot of picture books involved, but they only take about 15 minutes. History will be just an inclusion with her brother and sister and it isn't majorly important how much she does in that subject this year. Math board games are usually done with siblings anyway.
And we never do all this everyday. Matter of fact, looking over it, Math, LA, and Lit are the only things that will be done daily.

Boy, I am afraid that I am behind in the planning compared to all of you.
We will certainly continue our lapbooks and the Author Fiesta, and read alouds. I want to look into Elizabeth's Gnomes and Gnumbers. That seems like something that we would love to do for math.
For religon we will use Seton 1 along with the Catholic Mosaic.
I guess mostly, we will continue doing what we always do-keep living day to day while trying to prevent the babies from destroying things, and at the same time squeeze in a little education.

I have just decided to start first grade with my 5.5yo. I know it's a bit early, but she is ready. We're doing A Little Garden Flower this year with all the kids and she fits right in with the first grade curriculum. I will probably fashion my math after Serendipity for her as well. We do daily devotions from Living Faith for Kids and work on character training and my kids go to an excellent REP (my mother runs it!) every week. We will try to get more on the ball with nature walks and the like. I am not very good about that. I am not sure if we will be doing any phonics this year. Olivia doesn't quite meet the Waldorf requirements for learning to read yet. She can touch her ear with the opposite hand over her head, but none of her teeth have fallen out yet and she is hopeless at skipping rope. Oh, and she will start "real" dance classes this year, as opposed to pre-dance.

Religion:
FHC preparation using 4Real FHC notebook suggestions and Faith and Life 2, CHC prep plans and CGS presentations.
Pick up where we left off Along the Alphabet Path for Saint studies.
Catholic Mosaic for liturgical year.
Math:
Singapore math with Gnomes and Gnumbers on the side. Or is it Gnomes and Gnumbers with Singapore Math on the side?
Language Arts:
My daughter taught herself to read but finds spelling mysterious, so we're using All About Spelling to formally study spelling.
I'm also considering First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind.
Literature:
She's picking up reading so quickly I can't plan fast enough. I guess I have no choice but to follow her lead. :-) We're reading and listening to the Little House books now. She's clamoring for the prequels, so they are next. I hope I can get them from the library. Maybe Anne of Green Gables after that?
Thinking out loud that she said she wants more Pathway Readers. Maybe I'll pick up the next few.

Madeline tells me she wants to learn cursive. She'll be seven in September. I'm thinking about giving her an italic cursive book, and then using Startwrite.

What wonderful plans!
Erin-thanks for the reassurance! Since my first is a girl, ALL things are put in perspective. Potty trained a year later than she did, more crumbs around his chair-still, when he first started crawling-went RIGHT to the pipes behind the toilet  ,not one tooth is loose-when she had four out by this age(he'll be 7 in July),she was reading chapter books by now, and has always loved workbooks,etc..
Cay-I'm so glad you found your lessons plans!! Yay!!I was actually panicking right there with you-I hate that feeling that flows over me when I can'tfind something big!
I started this thread, as last year, I really over planned for DS-we did about a fraction of my official plans. I figured if I asked others what they were doing, it would help me to narrow down, and not plan all out.
Patty-PE is the ONE thing I can't plan enough of! If I let him, we would live at the golf course,ballfield, or a basketball court! All.Day. Long.
I so much appreciate all of the links some of you posted! I will definitely be looking in to these!

I used it this past year and really liked it. We supplemented it with the Ruth Heller books to add some spice (and pretty pictures!) to our grammar lessons.
