Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have a recommendation for dictation passages? I know I can just pick my own out of the books we are reading but I would prefer some ones that have the grammar explanations. I have several of the issues of the Arrow (from Bravewriter), but it will get quite costly to buy enough for a year. I know Sonlight has some but haven't seen them. Are there any others?

I do have this source. I forgot to mention that. However, as I recall (I haven't looked at it in a while) it doesn't explain the reason for the commas, quotations, etc. I will have to look again, but I think it is just the passages. I *could* do the explaining myself but sometimes I have to look up the reason for commas or don't know all of the terminology. Just because doesn't cut it. LOL. I just don't have the time with 7 dc to look too much up.

This year, I finally decided on something, and it's been working SO well, and we both love it! It's called Spelling Wisdom and it's from the simplycharlottemason.com site. It's really been a blessing not to have to come up with things, and it's really thought out, and well laid out for us.

I like too that I can be flexible, and use other things when I want to do that too from time to time, if we're working on something specific.

Tracy,

I looked at the sample but couldn't tell if it explains the reasons for the punctuation. Do you know? TIA.

No, Lisa, it doesn't specifically. I don't know of any dication resources that do this. But maybe someone else does know of one??? We haven't felt the need for that at this point, but maybe one day we will.

Thanks, Tracy. Bravewriter does this but at $9.95 an issue, it gets expensive to buy a whole years worth.

Lisa,
If I find anything that does this, I'll post it here. I'm going to the NY State convention this coming weekend, so you never know what I may find! Otherwise, I pray you find exactly what you need.
