Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is a funky book from the 70's that I just came across as a board book in a thrift shop. Our family self-identifies as *late bloomers* so enjoyed the happy family ending.

Love,

We love this story! We had gotten JP Treasury of Picture Book Classics for his 5th birthday this past year and this one is in there. I love this collection as it included Harold and the Purple Crayon and many other classics.

Thanks for reminding me to read this yet again to my little guy -- he too (as do the others) understand the "late bloomer" issue and how the parents need to just wait .....

Yes, fun book - "funky 70's" is a good descriptor, Angie.
