Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am wondering if anyone has used the materials from Hold That Thought (holdthatthought.com). From my understanding, you buy a CD which has print outs that can be used in a Book of Centuries or the like. I'm tempted because I think it might help ds with his BoC. He isn't much "into it" and I'm hoping to spark some interest.

Becky,
I've heard great things about it. We don't have anything from Hold That Thought, but have the history and I have some teacher's resources from Westvon Publishing Westvon Publishing

Here is the page for the history CD Roms History Scribe

Hold that Thought and History Scribe are both really great from every review I've read.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Tracy! I had never heard of History Scribe but after checking it out I think I like that better. For one thing, it is less expensive! I was thinking I would first just get one book, the one about Egypt, and try it. If we like it we can go for the CD which has much more. I was also thinking that perhaps I could put something like this together myself, but I'm really having a hard time getting things done as it is. This will help as it is already put together.
I had my 11 yo ds look at both programs. I was surprised when he said he would like HS better than HTT because he really isn't much of a drawer, but we're going to give it a try.

Glad I could help, Becky. Yes, my kids like the pictures already drawn, and they can draw more if they want to anyway.

I did buy the CD Rom with all of history, then went back and purchased the high school CD as well. I'm THRILLED with this product!

I also bought the The Master Planner, and The Study Starter, which are also wonderful. I just love their stuff! It's GREAT for notebooking, timelines, portfolios, etc.
