Since his immigration to the US in 1991, Gennady Spirin has distinguished himself as a remarkable artist/illustrator of several children's books. The latest two are of a religious theme (this one and We Three Kings) which make a great illustrated additions to faith studies. The text is the 23rd Psalm in its entirety (KJV, I think) and is painted so it appears to be rolling from a torah scroll. Each page is beautifully illustrated. There is a large fold out poster at the end that links all the illustrations together.

one not to buy.... The River and the Rain by Le Tord
Her pages about "forgive us our trespasses" are all images of cutting down rain forrests.... But I have liked her other books so far.
