Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yeah, that's why we tried that Misto for awhile (till we moved to the boat and Mom cabbaged onto it) greening up the kitchen AND our diets!

No one has mentioned Organic Virgin Coconut Oil or Organic Palm Oil... These fats are very stable with heat (so don't form toxins) - also butter is good and to a lesser extent olive oil. Other oils - please be aware about the toxicity levels on heating.

We always use coconut (organi VCO) or organic red palm oil - and only organic because in non-organic the method of extraction and the quality of the product is not the same. I would also use butter but my dds are allergic to milk products.

For those interested, if you do a search on the virtues of coconut oil versus canola or soya you should come up with quite a bit.

It actually tastes wonderful for me - but we actually do this for health reasons more than anything else.

Blessings

PS Less than 24°C coconut oil is solid. So you can use it like butter. In summer I keep it in the refrigerator.
