Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am still thinking snow/cold theme. Pulling out an old favorite here. The thread on remembering picture books made me think of this one. It was a favorite of my almost 20 year old ds. So it has very sweet memories for me of when he was little. Reminds me some of The Mitten - lots of animals trying to find shelter from the cold and fit into something - in this case the bed of Park Keeper Percy. If you are not familiar with the Percy books you are in for a treat. Lovely series by Nick Butterworth published in England.

Oh, my kids still crack up about this one... every time we read it! The pictures are great.

It's very cute.

I just reserved it from the Library. I have never read this one and I can't wait to share it with the children. It looks great    Thanks!

Mary, this is definitely a winner with my 2 yod. She reiterates the rabbits' lines: "We're f-f-f-frozen!" She looks for all the animals. She says, "Awww!" when she sees the page on which the fox has snow on his head. And she also paraphrases a mouse's line when she says, "Here comes a monster!" She narrates the whole thing and brings it at least daily for me to read to her.

Just thought you'd like to know!
