Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi,
Does anyone have a recipe for Michaelmas bread? I know there has to be one but everything I read mentions eating goose on his feast day! lol
Thanks for any help.

Meredith, I think that is traditionally called "St. Michael's Bannock".

Recipe from A Continual Feast

Eileen's Place had a recipe.

And for more ideas, see this great thread on the Archangels' feast day.

Does anyone have a link to a good (free) coloring page of the archangels? Nothing cutesie preferred.

If you don't have a link to anything online, do you have a good coloring book that I could order? It won't be in time for Saturday, but I'll have it for the future.

thanks!!

I couldn't find a page with all three.

I found one of St. Michael from CHC (.pdf file). Very nice.

This ia a page of Raphael with Tobias and Sarah

I was looking for a good picture of the Annunciation. I have one to scan, but it's not ready yet.

Here's a Coloring book that includes all 3 archangels.

Thanks for this link, Jenn! The boys enjoyed this coloring page very much this morning -- especially since it meant they could also cut & paste! LOL

I totally missed the boat on this one, but in case anyone checks the topic for next year, I posted a recipe for Struan Bread -- traditional Scottish bread served on Michaelmas. It's delicious and makes the house smell Heavenly!

Thanks Nissa for the link, I downloaded and saved the Michaelmas Pie and Dragon Cake - they look great! I have just received alphabet cutters in the mail like what I saw on Katherine's blog and so I look forward to making a Michealmas Pie next year with "M's" all the way over the top of it!!
