Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Someone from these boards posted a banana bread recipe on their blog that I wanted to try. For some reason, I thought I'd remember who -- but I don't :)

The recipe called for cream cheese (which I added to my grocery list and purchased) and chai spices.

Help! It sounded good and I wanted to make it.

thanks!!!

Was it this Banana Chai Bread?

We liked it, but it was very mild flavored. Make sure the Chai tea is VERY strong!

Oh somehow I missed this recipe. I love chai. I try not to drink it to often because I love Oregon Chai brand, full of sugar .
So Matilda, do you think you can use the Oregon Chai concentrate? Do you think that would make it to strong?
Putting cream cheese and bananas on my shopping list.

I don't know. I didn't think of using a chai concentrate. What I used was 4(?) Tazo Chai tea bags steeped in about a half a cup of water. I only used 1/4 C. as the recipe called for. In some of the reviews, people mentioned using the liquid chai, brewed chai and the General Foods Chai Latte powdered mix. One lady even sprinkled the powder over the top before baking. I might try that next time.
