Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

You guys are making me want to rip the former owner's wallpaper off the walls and paint our school room something fab.   Better do the kids' bathroom first, though; it's already on The List.

OK, so those of you who are good at copying PB...I saved a pix forever from a catalogue of 3 white multi frames (the kind that hold 3 or 4 small pix each) hung on the wall with beautiful white ribbons and one of those short white shelves above it. Frames and shelves I can find anywhere, but how do I attach the ribbons on the back so they'll hold the weight of the frame?

Do you think a glue gun would work? I bet they have how to do this some where on the web.

nah...the frames are too heavy with the glass. I thought about staple gunning the ribbons but I am worried they will fray and the frames will come crashing down on a toddler's head. I am soooooooooo craft challenged!

Books,
Take a look at this post. If this picture resembles the kind of result you are hoping for, I can tell you 1)how I did it and/or 2)how I should have done it and/or 3) the easy way to do it.

1) I attached the ribbons with a combination of hot glue and staples to an extra piece of backing inserted inside the frame. There was glass, matte, picture, backing, backing with ribbon attached and then the back of the frame. This frame was only 5x7 though.

2)If I was going to do a larger size frame I would first make sure that the frame was solid wood. Then you can buy the screw in hooks that they use to attach a wire onto the back of a frame and thread the ribbon through those (one on each side).

3) Glue the ribbon to the back of the frame. Hang the frame on the wall using a standard picture hanger not the ribbon. Tie the ribbon where you want it and affix it to the wall (using anything that will stick) at the right height to give the illusion of it hanging by the ribbon.

It's just so great that we can go from talking about black widow spiders, cloth diapers, space shuttles, cesarean sections, how to hold a pencil and then Vera Bradley and Pottery Barn! I love it!

Digging up this old thread to direct you to this blog post on how to do frugal ways of implementing PB ideas. So far they aren't home learning environment ideas, but I found it fun.
