Hi everyone
We are doing the Trailguide to US Geography - and my kids would love to receive postcards from diffent states. We are in VA and would be happy to send anyone a postcard from here. We would also be able to send postcards when we go into DC. Please would you pm me if you would be able to send us a postcard from your state - and I will pm you my address.

Thank you everyone so far for the responses. We still need lots more states. Please excuse me if you pm me and do not get a response - our computer is being difficult  and would not boot up today. It may have to be repaired - so it may be a couple of days before I respond.

I think this is a great idea! We would also love to receive postcards from other states. I wonder if this could be an activity that we all could get into.

For those of you studying the 50 states - I thought we could share ideas.
I am using the Trailguide as a base. We are also researching the Catholic/Marian shrines in each state. I have a couple of great websites - I will post soon - my computer is being difficult - waiting for dh to sort out. We are listening to States and Capitals on CD, and cooking fare from each state. The 3 year old had a States sticker book and he likes to color in flags and birds etc too.
We will put up a wall poster of all the postcards we receive.
Another thing I have started doing is to request the tourist brochure for each state - I have it sent to the kids (they all have their favorite state - so have each sent to different child) - one of the projects they will do is to make their own tourist brochure for the state of their choice.
Games we are playing - the Scrambled States of America, Noggins, All American Trivia Game.

I did this once and received 100's of postcards! I still have them!
It was so much fun to get all of the mail and it really inspired writing!

Marilyn......I am in California.............and Erica beat me to it.........though she can send SOUTHERN and I can send NORTHERN California..........two WAY different worlds! Let me know..........also, I can cover you for Nevada........I only live three hours from the border..........and, if you do not get Oregon, let me know, I only live one hour from THAT border  ...I do not know if we have any active NV users, but we do have some from OR.........so, try them first so it is more "legit"
