There is a liturgical planner that already has the feast days and solemnities marked. It's called liturgical desk calendar
I've used this for years as my appointment calendar.
But, I have to say, I would like to try Michelle's planner from Family Centered Press.

I found that one a few years back...it was one of the first I had seen like that. It was very helpful in working out Catholic Culture's liturgical year info. I think it's one that many priests use. But I do love Michele's better now!

Gosh, you all are so organized! I want to be like you all 
Like Leonie, I keep "Continual Feast" on hand---I find myself checking it, as do my dc as they look for recipes to try. I just love that book (Leonie, is that a Chalet girl thing, you suppose?  )
I also keep our Church calendar-the ones they hand out every January---pinned up prominently in the kitchen. I check the date, note the saint or feast day, put my corresponding colored table cloth on the table, and go with it. Over the years I have found that certain saints days and feast days have become standbys that we seldom miss, so I don't need so much reminding. Still, it's always nice to have fresh ideas---which is why I love this message board!
Last but not least, I always have my copy of "Thru the Year with the Von Trapp Family" around. My all time favorite source of inspiration

Hi,
I have three big portable file folder boxes. Every 2 days has a folder. Into the folder goes holy cards, books-Mosaic ones or Father Lovasik books, Icons, printouts from the computer, I ripped apart the CHC A year with God and stuck all the pages in the right days, I have ripped apart Saint coloring books and Rosary Coloring books and stuck the pictures under the feast day. So when I pull out the folder for the particular day-I get the book, holy card or Icon, recipes, coloring pages and any craft ideas. But with all the books and the cook book it takes up about 3 portable file folder boxes. However, that means 2 boxes are hidden away while not in use and so the toddler and baby can only dump about a third of a year out a time:)

Well, I think I'm getting well set-up. Dawn, I made a file folder box and I think it will work great. I adapted it some to store some different things for our homeschooling as well. And my planner from Family Centered Press came (I love it!)...I've been getting that all set up. I love to plan, so I've been like a kid at Christmas. My husband thinks I need to be medicated.  It's just so nice to make all those pretty plans at the beginning of the school year...until life starts happening....

I've started something new recently that is working very well. I go to catholicculture.com every couple of weeks and go over the feast days that are coming up and pick out the ones we want to observe at home in some way (almost every memorial or feast since we can at least attend Mass and/or use the daily Collect in our prayers).
I cut and paste the saint name and day along with the Collect to a Word document and quickly go through the recipes and activities they list...if there are any that sound doable, I attach those as well. Then I go find a Google image for an upcoming feast or solemnity and put it up for our computer backround art. I print out the Word page and put it in my planner with a paper clip and pencil in the saint names under the date in the planner.
It's been great to have the Collects all handy in one spot these last few weeks.

Gwen this sounds wonderful and not very labor intensive! We love to use the collects for morning prayers and devotions, thank you for sharing your idea!
