I just got done organizing my children's bookshelf; I separated them into "everyday" books as well as seasonal literature. I seem to be extremely short on Autumn books! When I got to thinking about it, I can't seem to pinpoint many autumn books at all really. The ones I do have are kind of a stretch; nothing is SPECIFICALLY related to Fall. (I can only pinpoint Autumn Story in the Brambly Hedge series)
I'd like to get a jump on this before the school year begins again.
What are your favorite Fall books?

I have not yet packed up these books - I know we have a few. I will post some titles in the morning.

Ellie ~ Autumn is my favorite season for picture books! There are so many great ones!
Here are some of our favorites on an Amazon List.

That's a great list Suzanne! I just wanted to second Ox Cart Man. That is one of my favorites and I was lucky enough to get a great hardcover at the book sale a couple of weeks ago for $ .25.

I remember seeing this thread--book lists these days are making me drool. Maybe it's time to organize my children's bookshelf.
I also keep meaning to put my hand on The Pumpkin Parable by Liz Curtis Higgs. We found two other of her "Parable" books at a book closeout store.

I LOVE the parabls books!
It seems I cannot locate all of my autumn related books and I thought that was one thing we had organized. Wishful thinking, perhaps?
We have (or have read) several from the Amazon list from above, as well as these ones:
It's Pumpkin Time It appears there is a spanish one too - I love reading familiar books in another language.
Fall Leaves Early Reader I've thought about getting rid of this one, but the children love it.
Look what I did with a leaf This one is a craft-type book, showing how to use leaves to make pictures. It has little "art notes" throughout as well as a bit of information about autumn itself; I particularly like the couple of pages about the different types of leaves, their shapes and sizes, as well as the pages about the life cycle of a leaf, and there is a brief field guide in the back as well to identify their names.
I am sure there is a First Discovery book about autumn we've used/read, but I can't find it here or on Amazon... If anyone comes across it, let me know as I definitely want to get grandma to purchase another copy for us if ours is truly lost.

Cay Gibson's Children's Hour sorted by month. I love this list and use it a lot!
