Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I posted some links on my blog about serving the new old Latin Mass! This is something that I want my boys to be prepared for!

Thanks, Elena. That's great thinking. We need to get them ready, don't we!

Thanks Elena! After mass last Sunday dh and I agreed that if it becomes feasible we may well find ourselves attending the TM regularly. I am SO tired of bad liturgy and crappy music!

[LOL] [LOL] I hear you Michele......the music can be a killer! You should have heard what we had to sit through last Suday as a comunion "meditation". It was not our normal church and I was sitting there thanking God this is not our norm!

Thanks, Elena! We are going to slowly work through this site that plays the audio of the responses. What a fabulous resource! What a joy to think of having the TLM sometime soon!

Does anybody know of a site on the internet that has the Priest's prayers in the Tridentine rite? We've got some priests here who want to do training, but may need a bit of help with latin pronunciation!

Thanks a lot!

I would suggest your priest to possibly contact the FSSP I know they are helping retrain their brother priest.

Someone from the FSSP is coming!
The worry (my dh is orchestrating this) is just that they will have a hard time with the latin, and having the prayers to listen to multiple times would help in getting used to it and getting pronunciation right.

The Most Beautiful Thing this Side of Heaven and The Immemorial Tridentine Mass (Sheen) are good DVDs to watch. This children's title also sounds promising, The Traditional Mass for Children. My husband asked ProMultis Media a little bit more about it and we will be purchasing it.

Thank you for the links, Elena.

I agree FSSP would be a great resource to go to for priests. Una Voce has a Latin Ecclesiastical pronunciation guide here. I am sure their Missal is much better than this, but here is The Ordinary of the Holy Mass.

In love,
Michelle

There is a new website from the Society of St. John Cantius which has videos of the old mass for training priests and servers! So, for anyone who has a priest or boy interested in learning (or just wants to know more) this is the website to know about!

It's beautiful!

Hi All,
Here is a link to the book that all the boys have used for learning to serve the Tridentine Latin Rite Mass at our parish. It's called Learning to Serve.

Just thought you might be able to use these for further study and preparation.

My son borrowed this tape from one of the older boys and we had been unable to find it when he needed it. But here is a cd that gives the correct pronounciation of the responses with a laminated card to help them.
