Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been trying for days to get on Five in a Row's Website? Google says they've moved but I can't come up with any workable link.

Tracy Q.? Anyone?

Thank you, dear.
I was getting desperate.

Chelsea has chosen "Roxaboxen" and I am not surprised.

Cay,
Is "Roxaboxen" a book in FIAR? This is my first year and I don't see that in Vol. 1 or 2.

The thing I can't find is the old "Rest Stop" Archive. I used that as a resource to keep up with my voracious readers. Anyone know what happened to it?

Jenn,
It's in Vol. 4.

Also, is it just me, or are the archives gone?

Michelle,
Go to the message board and scroll down. You'll see some archives listed there...though I suspect they are not all there.

I'm still very much the amateur in surfing through archives.

All the old posts are available - they just aren't called "archives" anymore. If you want to find old posts, do like Cay mentioned. Go to the particular message board you want to search and scroll through the "Show Topics" box. You can search particular time periods (last week, last month, etc.) through one year ago. To get the older posts you have to click "All." All the posts from the beginning of the boards will then be pulled up a page at a time.

Let me know if there is something in particular you are looking for.

Thanks Cay and Mary,

I am getting ready to do slavery so I pulled out my old FIAR books and decided to teach Follow the Drinking Gourd and Who Owns the Sun? Then I put all the Underground railroad books from Cay's URR thread on hold. I just wanted the archives of those books to round out the nect few weeks since my kids are older than FIAR age (and we've rowed all these books before). I'll go check it out now.

I still haven't found the old Rest Stops. Any ideas?

If you are doing the Drinking gourd, I just came upon this neat activity yesterday.
platisphere for children
It is a neat way to visualize the movements of the big dipper in the sky from season to season.
Also check out the pictures here
for another way to make the platisphere.

Thanks Theresa, that looks like fun!

Mary, I can't figure it out. I spent quite a bit of time on the new FIAR forums and I just can't find the old book archives. I am especially interested in "Who Owns the Sun?"

I have no idea WHAT I am doing wrong.

Okay, I'm embarrassed. I did not read your original message correctly as I gave you directions for getting the older archive/posts from this board. So, I have to say I am not familiar enough with the FAIR boards to know about the archives you are looking for. I was thinking though, have you posted this question on their boards?

Sorry for being mistaken.

Mary, that's funny. It's almost as if you were a busy woman or something

I actually can't post on the forums. It's been so long since I had to remember my password (my computer filled it in for me on the old boards), that I can't remember it. I've sent messages to the forum administrators asking about so many things, including recovering my password, and so far have recieved no answers at all. This leads me to believe that I am a complete computer idiot.

Mary Chris, when I click on the link you gave me it asks for my password, which I cannot remember. But thank you so much for trying.

Michelle,
I couldn't remember any information either and had to redo all my information to resub.

Michelle,

I don't think it is operator error on your part. I emailed them recently and recieved no response.    I must not log out so I don't re-enter my password each time.

Ok, I resubbed this morning and I sent back the activation email, and I am still blocked from the forums tonight. How long did it take you all to be activated? I am pretty sure I was never naughty. I can't think why I would be locked out.

Wow, this thread has become a little embarassing. My technological incompetence is really showing. I want all you wonderful, intelligent ladies to know that I appreciate all your help. This has been driving me insane for a few weeks, and somehow, sharing the insanity makes me feel better.
