Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes, Boo's his nickname, but everyone calls him that. He can't even spell his real name (Christopher). I'm making him use his real name on his First Communion banner, and he was so bummed, because nobody will know it's him, that I consented to write "Boo" under his real name.

Lorri: Be sure to tell Boo that he's famous in our house!

I can't believe there is a Kolbe James and a James Kolbe.....

That is too funny! I'll have to tell Kolbe about it.

I read your blog this morning before I read this post. I was laughing so hard! Boo is so famous because of his nickname. It's particularly funny during soccer season, when he scores a goal, or stops one, all the parents on our side yell "Booooooooo!" I always wonder how long it takes the other side to realize we're cheering, not heckling him.

BTW, his birthday is October 31 - which is how he came to be called Boo.

We are praying for all those making their First Holy Communion this weekend. I think we have included everyone in our rosary this morning:
- Sarah in Michigan
- Blaise in Michigan
- Laura in VA
- Timmy in VA
- Nicholas in VA
- Kolbe James in VA (very special hugs and prayers to Kolbe and his family)
- Mary Elizabeth in NC
- Katherine in San Diego
- Isaac in Saskatchewan
- Aaron in Pennsylvania
- Nicole in Ohio
- Lily Ann in Vermont

And prayers for anyone we left off the list. We wish you all a blessed and joyful weekend.

Oops! Mary's is actually May 6th. We are trying to make sure we've got everything ready today. :-) I just sprung for a store-bought sheet cake for tomorrow. We're having a cookout at my parents' house afterwards.

JoAnna, the slightly green pregnany lady

And Zachary, receiving May 6 in Utah, who was on the list, but overlooked.

Thanks,
