I just saw MacBeths masks for passover, and it got me thinking, I would love to hear what you all do for passover. Menu, activities, prayers etc. Bring on the ideas, I know you all have them  Whats for dinner Jenn?

We will do a seder meal on the floor. Then we are going to watch "Prince of Egypt" and probably eat popcorn since ds will not like the meal. 
I am intrigued by the plague masks,but in the spirit of saving $$$ for our baby girl,we will probably draw pictures instead.
Also,since our dog is such a pest while we eat...she will be consider a plague too.

MB a seder meal on the floor sounds fun!!
We participated in a Seder meal with some friends one year and it was really neat. They had all the foods (can't remember but the lamb, a bitter herb salad, an apple salad thingy, pita bread...), had the youngest "ask what this is all about?" and then the Dad read all about it. We all had an interactive script (I'm not sure where they got it), but it kept things moving.
And for the sake of time -- they did it on Palm Sunday. I think this is a great idea b/c IMHO it's too much to try and do a Seder Meal and get to Holy Thursday Mass.
It was long, but it made it exciting to have company over -- so the "longness" wasn't noticed as much.
I don't know where they got their script, but it was great. I'm going to hunt around for one! Thanks for reminding me that this is coming up QUICKLY!!

I think I mentioned this before in an Easter thread, but we do a "version" of Passover on Holy Thursday that doesn't get in the way of our Mass plans. It has become our tradition to have lamb gyros with greek salads topped with vinaigrette dressing (bitter herbs), extra pita (unleavened bread) and feta cheese on the side and wine for mommy and daddy.
I have made the meal myself in the past and might try it again this year, but we have also made use of the really yummy (and convenient) Greek restaurants in the area. It is the only time we have gyros and the children have really come to associate it with our Holy Thursday celebrations.
Oh and watching the Moses movie is a must! I think I like it more than the kids do!

We do a complete Messianic Passover meal on Wednesday. It does take a long time to go through the whole Haggadah and the meal, so we do it on Wedneday. On Thursday we do the footwashing part together as a family (I got this idea from Elizabeth and we LOVE it).

And right after this link from google was an article Elizabeth wrote for the Arlington Herald back in 2001 about this script from Domestic-church in her Seder meal!!

Molly,
This just means that the "dots are connected" so to speak. So much of the Passover celebration prefigures Christ, His suffering, and death. In a Messianic Passover, the script (haggadah) includes the explanation of how the signs and symbols point to Christ and his redemptive work. We also include how the last Passover meal celebrated by our Lord with His disciples was our First Communion and what parts of the Liturgy of the Eucharist come from the Passover celebration.
I think I've made it sound more complicated than it is. We have been doing this for about 4 years now, and my kids (3, 4 and 5 when we started) have always been able to follow along easily. We've also always given them parts to read (or say or do).

I love those masks! I'm trying to see how I could incorporate them with just one child. I mean, really, how can he wear all 10? And even with Mommy and Daddy, that makes only 3. We definitely have to combine families like in the book of Exodus.
Last year there was a great discussion about a passover or seder meal. Kathryn really gave me food for thought, and I'm convinced that it has to be more of a commemoration or imitation of the Last Supper, or Messianic meal, rather than an authentic seder.
I'm going to inundate you with links, most are a Christian view of the Passover meal.
This is a summary of what my family does every year. We now move it to Palm Sunday or sometime in Holy Week so all the fathers and families can come together. The foot washing is very important part of this meal.
