Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Any good ideas lurking in people's minds for Fathers Day? I am getting dh some books but other than that my creative side is pretty empty. Well, actually I don't really have a creative side to begin with (sigh).

Fill a basket, or garden pail, with various items,
like tools, coffee, chocolate, sporting items, sport
tickets, car toys, or other hobbie interests....(my husband is a big HO train nut.), a mass card, a book
about St. Joseph, or the Fatherhood book by Steve Woods,
a hike in the woods and a picnic with the family, a bike ride, or other ideas like that. Gift cards to a
home improvement center or sporting good store.....etc.

Our kids are making cards with nice pictures of St. Joseph that they'll color. We are inserting coupons for weeding, mowing and homebaked cookies.

Here's a Father's day craftfinder:

God bless,

IF I can get to it, we are going to make him a 'current pictures ' photo display for his office desk. Might use a picture frame, or a memory board of some kind. He has no pictures at work and has been mentioning wanting some.
