Thank You, Sarah: The Woman Who Saved Thankgiving

A recent find for us at the library. I had *no idea* that Thanksgiving was almost not a national holiday.... that it went out of favor and several presidents refused to revive it.

Enter Sarah... she wrote to several presidents over 38 years and finally got Abe Lincoln (wouldn't you know he'd be the one!) to make it a national holiday. This is a great story about history, perseverance and how one person really can make a difference.
