Hi all,

I recently purchased Learning Spanish with Grace which looks absolutely great. However, how does one use this with more than one child? Can you photocopy the pages? Which won't quite work because some of the pages are little pereforated pages to make books out of. Get a second (or third) workbook without the cds? That would be ideal.

How would I find this out?

Anybody else use this program? Did you like it?

Blessings,

Faith

Faith,
My friend Miriam wrote Learn Spanish with Grace! She's wonderful! She was in our homeschool support group, but moved shortly after Learn Spanish with Grace was finished. It was recorded in another homeschooling mom's recording studio (which is in a barn and very neat! ).

Anyway, if you want your children to share, you could get by with only one set of conversation booklets I suppose. We do have one for each child here, but were given them by Miriam. I wrote a review for Learn Spanish with Grace for a Catholic magazine.

Learn Spanish with Grace is a beautiful program for beginning Spanish. It's a blessing!

Tracy

Thank you Tracy! Also, I would like to thank Irene who responded by private e-mail which I somehow deleted before replying to her!

Hi Julie,

I am a little put out. I bought the LSWG from Emmanuel Books and they didn't sell it as a package (as I recall, I guess I should check before I say that!). So anyway, I don't have the full set, as I was unaware of it when I ordered it. Also, I think it was billed as a textbook when really it is a consumable worktext. And I don't understand why the publishers didn't think to have a second student workbook that comes without the cds.

So I think I'll order the conversation booklets and flashcards and music cds. And I am also going to ask the publisher to please make second student worktexts available so a mom can teach more than one student with it. You'd think a Catholic homeschooling publisher would have thought of that, don't you?

Anyway, it still looks like a great program and I am eager to start using it, but must wait until the summer when one of my students comes home from private school.

Blessings,

Faith

I bought the complete set from By Way of the Family
http://www.bywayofthefamily.com/
They sell everything as a set and individually. It looks like the text only comes with the CDs though. I figure mine will just do it as copy work rather than writing in the main text.

Just wanted to mention that we absolutely love the music cd from "Learn Spanish with Grace". Even if you don't purchase the entire curriculum, you can get alot of use out of just the cd. My 2 1/2 year old asks for me to play the cd everyday. I don't think there's anything else out there that has all the basic Catholic prayers in Spanish. Plus everything's sung, so it's a cinch to memorize.

Can you who have used Spanish w/ Grace tell me what the music is like? (My dh is afraid it will be too goofy.)

This looks like a great program!

Thanks for your help,

The songs are simple and sweet. I don't think they are goofy. We have all learned them and sing them regularly.

I just wanted to add that these are just $25 now. I just purchased one for my dd. We had three sets of the CDs and everything else so the workbook was all we needed.

We love this program!

We use it. My kids love it, and they have learned so much. I think the songs do a really nice job of reinforcing the lessons.

Sarah finished it last year, and did great with it! We're moving on to Spanish I this year using a textbook program, and will do high school Spanish I over 2 years in 7th and 8th grade, then onto Spanish II in 9th, and Spanish III in 10th. We're using the Paso a Paso texts by Prentice Hall.

We loved Learning Spanish with Grace!

I was just going to ask what do folks recommend as the next step after Spanish with Grace. Paso a Paso is one of them. Any others anyone can recommend???? I would like more than just the vocabulary Rosetta Stone has to offer. I am looking for more of an imeression program that works well!
